About BuildSorted
BuildSorted is a document preparation and guidance tool for UK tradespeople, landlords and letting agents, operated under the trading name BuildSorted by Mark Sepple. ICO registration number: ZC123572.
By using BuildSorted, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. What BuildSorted Is and Is Not
BuildSorted is a document preparation and general guidance tool. It helps users draft professional documents and understand general information relevant to UK property and trades work.
BuildSorted is not a legal advice service. Nothing generated by BuildSorted constitutes legal advice. BuildSorted is not a solicitor, barrister, licensed conveyancer or regulated legal services provider under the Legal Services Act 2007.
BuildSorted is not a financial advice service. Nothing generated by BuildSorted constitutes financial advice.
You must not rely on BuildSorted as a substitute for professional legal, financial or other professional advice. For matters involving significant legal risk — including serving possession notices, handling deposit disputes or taking enforcement action — you should consult a qualified solicitor.
All documents generated by BuildSorted must be reviewed by you before use. You are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of any document you send or act upon.
Legislation and regulations change frequently. While BuildSorted takes reasonable steps to keep information current, we cannot guarantee that all information is up to date at the moment you use it. Always verify important legal requirements directly with an authoritative source such as gov.uk or a qualified professional before acting.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use BuildSorted. BuildSorted is intended for use in the United Kingdom. If you are using BuildSorted on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@buildsorted.co.uk.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use BuildSorted only for lawful purposes. You must not use BuildSorted to:
- Generate documents intended to deceive, defraud or harm any person
- Harass, threaten or intimidate any person
- Engage in any unlawful activity, including serving invalid legal notices
- Attempt to circumvent or interfere with BuildSorted's technical systems
- Resell, sublicense or redistribute BuildSorted without our written permission
You are solely responsible for the content you provide to BuildSorted and the use you make of documents generated by BuildSorted.
5. Subscription and Payment
BuildSorted is offered on a subscription basis. Current pricing is displayed on buildsorted.co.uk. Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Payment is processed by Stripe, Inc.
Free trial. New subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. No payment card is required to start your trial. If you do not subscribe before your trial ends, access to BuildSorted will be suspended until you subscribe.
Founding Member pricing. Founding Member pricing is available to the first 100 subscribers only. The Founding Member rate is locked in for as long as your subscription remains active and you do not cancel. If you cancel your subscription, the Founding Member rate will not be available on resubscription.
Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods except where required by law.
Price changes. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price increase by email. If you do not wish to continue at the new price, you may cancel before it takes effect.
Cooling-off period. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day right to cancel from the date of your first subscription payment. If you cancel within this period you are entitled to a full refund unless you have already used the service, in which case we may deduct a reasonable amount for use already made.
6. Intellectual Property
BuildSorted and its content, features and functionality are owned by BuildSorted. Documents generated by BuildSorted for you are yours to use for your own business purposes. You may not copy, reproduce or distribute BuildSorted's interface, branding or underlying technology without our written permission.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
BuildSorted is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or completely secure. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness or currency of any information, guidance or document generated by BuildSorted. In particular, BuildSorted does not warrant that any document it generates will be legally effective or appropriate for your specific circumstances.
8. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable law.
Subject to the above, our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to BuildSorted in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Subject to the above, we shall not be liable for any loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of business, loss of data, or any indirect or consequential loss, whether or not foreseeable.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BuildSorted from any claims, losses, damages, costs and expenses arising from your use of BuildSorted in breach of these Terms or any content you provide to BuildSorted.
10. Third-Party Services
BuildSorted uses Anthropic PBC (AI model provider), Stripe Inc. (payment processing), Render Inc. (web hosting), and Resend Inc. (email delivery). We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party service providers.
11. Service Availability and Changes
We aim to keep BuildSorted available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend the service for maintenance or updates. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue BuildSorted and will give reasonable notice of material changes.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of BuildSorted after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The current version will always be available at buildsorted.co.uk/terms.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you have a complaint, please contact us first at hello@buildsorted.co.uk and we will make every reasonable effort to resolve it promptly and fairly.
14. General
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and BuildSorted regarding your use of the service.
